Fender Custom Shop Amps

The Fender Custom Shop is mainly known for creating amazing guitars, but they also do some amps a well.  The company makes a line of amps for both guitars and for basses, and they include modern amps and amps to match their custom & relic guitarsfender-ampsIf you’re ordering a relic guitar from their custom shop or already have one, you may be especially interested in their vintage reissue line of amps.

Under their guitar amps section, you’ll find a number of different categories, including custom, vintage reissue, and hot rod amps.  The custom section features the top amps made by Fender, and many of them are based on older amps like the ’57 Champ and the ’57 Deluxe.  Likewise, the vintage reissue amps are recreations of some of the top amps around, including a number of amps originally released in 1965.  These amps may look old, but inside, they’ve filled with the newest in technology, making them sound amazing.  Then there are the hot rod amps, which combine both modern and vintage sounds.  Fender rounds out their guitar amps section with the Acopustasonic line, which is made for small clubs, the Cyber amps, which are digital combo amps, and several other models.

The bass amps are just as varied and just as well built.  They include the very popular B-DEC amp, which is a digital amp that is often used for teaching.  Then there’s the Pro series, a set of powerful amps that players love.  The Bassman line gives players a great classic sound while still proving to be very durable.  Finally, the Rumble is a series of versatile amps that come in a number of different sizes and configurations so you will easily find one that’s right for you.

Fender is constantly improving on their amps, and they’re always introducing new models.  No matter which one you buy, however, you can rest assured that you’re getting a quality amp for a great price.  Whether you want a custom amp, a vintage amp, or need an amp for your bass, Fender is definitely a brand name to consider.

Bugera V5 5-Watt Class-A Valve Amplifier Combo with Reverb And Power Attenuator Bugera V5 5-Watt Class-A Valve Amplifier Combo with Reverb And Power Attenuator
List Price: $219.99

Dressed in classic two-tone vinyl, running on one power and one preamp valve and featuring bone-simple controls, the BUGERA V5 looks like a carefully constructed nostalgia trip. In fact, in many ways, it is! But plug into this beautiful little amp and you’ll not only find a sound that’s caked in real vintage raunch, but also modern features that take this sound to places it couldn’t go—until now. Big Sound, Small Package Rock music brings to mind amplifiers as big as skyscrapers, dishing out irreversible ear damage at ruthless volumes. But a studio secret among guitar greats is that little low-watt valve combos like the V5 can be maxed out for red-hot overdriven tone without blowing fuses or incurring any property damage. The V5 is a living, breathing homage to those half-pint screamers of the past, but with two very important improvements. See, this amp may be small, but 5 watts in Valvesville is still loud as hell when it’s sitting in your bedroom. That’s why the V5 features a switchable power attenuator that allows you to run 5, 1 or 0.1 Watts. An attenuator reduces the amplitude of a signal without changing its sound. That means you can still drive the valves into banshee-league fury, but without waking up the neighbors. Finding a headphone out jack on an all-valve guitar amp is incredibly rare because the integration requires loading the output transformer and filtering the signal for a loudspeaker simulation. (Translation: it’s a pain in the ass!) But in true BUGERA fashion, we’ve gone the extra mile to allow you some late night practicing. Just plug in a pair of headphones to the 1/4" phones jack on the back panel, and you’re ready to keep the V5’s all-valve sound all to yourself. Then again, if it’s more volume you need, the V5 has a 1/4" Speaker Out jack that allows you to connect an additional speaker with a minimum impedance of 4 Ohms. This dangerous dandy also features the same studio-caliber digital reverb found in its bigger BUGERA brothers. The spring reverb found in the V5’s post-war predecessors sounds lovely, but is delicate and expensive to repair. The V5’s modern update gives you an equally mesmerizing vintage reverb sound without the wallet-draining vintage reliability. Little Wonder With the V5 in your home or studio, your tonal woes are over. It bears the true sound of an antique 5W valve amp, it’s built to survive abuse, and its price tag is tons lighter than the ones you’ ll find tied to its elders. Adopt a V5 today and get ready to pack 60 years of sonic inspiration into your recording or practice sessions. Features Hand-built 5-Watt Class-A amplifier driven by 1 x EL84 valve Way cool vintage look and feel Original 8" BUGERA guitar speaker for true vintage sound Authentic preamp design from the '60s featuring 1 x 12AX7 valve—everything from purring blues to mind-blowing crunch Integrated high-class reverb with dedicated Reverb control Vintage Equalizer with dedicated Tone control Built-in 2-way Power Attenuator allows you to get ultimate sound at any volume High-quality components and exceptionally rugged construction ensure long life

Fender 57 Twin AmpTM - Tweed Combo Guitar Amplifier Fender 57 Twin AmpTM - Tweed Combo Guitar Amplifier
List Price: $3,999.99

This all-tube combo amp has hand-wired circuitry; we've even reproduced the 1955-57 edition 'low powered' 5E8A circuit, which puts 40 watts into a pair of 12" alnico-magnet speakers. Power comes from a pair of GT6L6 output tubes and Fender's rarely seen mid-'50s dual rectifier arrangement (using 5U4 rectifier tubes). With this design, power amp compression or "sag" is more subtle than in many Fender tweed designs. The Twin's preamp contains four high-gain 12AX7 tubes, three of which may be substituted with 12AY7s for the original '50s low-gain sound. An internal bias pot allows easy substitution of various 6L6 types. Control panel details include normal and bright volumes, four inputs (two normal; two bright), treble, bass and presence knobs.
