Fender 59 Bassman Limited Reissue

Fender is known for making top quality products, and their amps are no exception to this rule.  fender-59-bassman-limited-reissue-boutique-ampThe Fender 59 Bassman Limited Reissue Boutique Amp is a recreation of the original amp that was released back in 1959.  These amps have been in high demand for guitar and bass players in recent years.  Harp players, interestingly enough, also enjoy using the Fender 59. The Fender 59 features a 50 watt power source so it's great for outdoor and bigger gigs.  The boutique amp features a simple and easy to use setup that provides amazing tone, dispersion, and is very dynamic.  The reissue features a few new upgrades, including GT-6L6 tubes, 12AX7 preamp tubes, and has an internal bias pot.  These upgrades make it much easier to play around with different output tubes.

The Fender 59 Bassman also includes four ten-inch speakers.  For the rectifier tube, it uses a 5AR4, just like the original did.  It comes in a finger-jointed pine cabinet and includes a genuine lacquered tweed covering just like the original.  As far as pricing goes, you can pick up one of these reissued amps for around $1,000 used.

Fender '59 Bassman® LTD, Lacquered Tweed Fender '59 Bassman® LTD, Lacquered Tweed
List Price: $1,899.99

In early 1952, the Fender® Bassman® amplified a great new invention - the Fender Precision Bass® guitar. At 50 watts, it competed easily with the common instrumentation of the day: horns, piano, small drum kit, and maybe even an electric guitar through a new 10-watt amp. Through the ’60s and ’70s, the original all-tube tweed 4x10” Bassman® was popular with rock, country and blues guitarists as a reliably great-sounding and easy-to-use guitar amp. In the ’90s, Fender released an affordable ’59 Bassman reissue amplifier to great acclaim. Many guitarists, tired of experimenting with preamps, equalizers and effects racks, rediscovered the simple pleasure of plugging into a Fender tube amp. The reissue Bassman’s wide stage coverage, touch-sensitive dynamics and full-frequency swirl make it perfect for building great tone with almost any guitar or effect, and it remains a staple of the Fender guitar amp line to this day.
