The de Lisle Guitar Company has produced a number of different great tube boutique amps and handmade guitars over the years. One of their best-selling amps is the de Lisle 15P USA boutique amp. This 15 watt push-pull amp features one EF86 preamp tube fronted by a twin-triode 12AX7. Then the signal is sent to a 12AT7, where all phase inverting is done. The amp is powered by two EL84s. As far as speakers go, the standard speaker installed on the 15P really lets this amp pump out the sound, but if you want more, you can upgrade to the Eminence Red Fang speaker, which is more sensitive.
This amp provides crisp, bright tones that never sound too harsh, and the overdrive is well defined and not muddy. Each amp is hand-built and wired in the de Lisle workshop using only the best components. The 15P comes in both a combo and a head version, both of which are housed in a solid pine casing.
The amp features volume, master, bass, and treble controls, a boost switch, and a power/standby switch. It measures 20.75 x 20 x 9.75, so it’s portable and can be stashed out of the way fairly easily. The de Lisle 15P retails for around $1,050.
