The Studiotone amp is more than just a tiny combo amp.  It’s a compact powerhouse that provides three different channels, a great amount of boost, and much more.  It’s one of Koch’s classic amps, and it has certainly earned its reputation.

If you need a bit of an upgrade, the Studiotone XL is a little more powerful.  It features a new type of speaker and cabinet, but it’s still fairly compact.  It features much of the same offerings that the Studiotone does, but it’s got some extra power behind it.

The Twintone II is great for anyone who plays a lot of gigs.  It’s light weight, yet it still has 50 watts of power driving its sound.  It has a nice clean channel and both a low gain and high gain overdrive channel.

For those who need an all-around amp, the Multitone II gives you everything you need.  It’s available in both 50 and 100 watt combo or head versions, and it features three channels plus accutronics reverb.

Rounding out the “II” line of amps is the Powertone II.  It’s one of Koch’s next generation amps, and it supplies all the power and ton that any player needs.  It’s great for those who love to play rock and love to play loud.

The Supernova is what Koch considers their ultimate all-tube amp.  This amp can be integrated with a MIDI set up, features five channels, and can be used as either a channel witching amp or as a sound switching amp.

Finally, the Classic SE amp focuses completely on tone.  It’s very responsive and dynamic, no matter what type of guitar or type of music you play.  It’s available in 6 and 12 watt versions.

What powers this amazing amp?  Well, the Koch Twintone 50 has three 12AX7 tubes and 2 EL34 tubes in it.  It also has a built-in power soak that allows for either a full 50 watts of power, 25 watts of power on a lower setting, or even zero watts when all you’re using are the headphone or line out jacks. The Koch Twintone 50 also features separate EQ for each of its channels, and each tone is controlled by a very sensitive, responsive knob that’s sure to give you the exact sound you’re searching for.

If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to find a used Koch Twintone 50 Watt Boutique Amp for around $1,500 or so.  If you’re not lucky, you may end up paying the retail price of $2395.
