Diamond Pedals of Canada build some truly uncompromising guitar pedals, combining ultra high-quality components (including Burr Brown opamps, Vishay transistors, and True Bypass Switching), clever engineering and a golden ear for guitar tone. The original idea behind the J-Drive was to build a combination clean boost and overdrive pedal, with either function usable separately or together. You can use the boost for rhythm tones and kick in the overdrive for solos, or use the overdrive as your main tone and kick in the boost when your solo spot comes, "overdriving the overdrive". In addition the clean boost section can also function as a classic treble booster! Craziness. The Diamond J-Drive MK3 features four control knobs; Drive, Warmth, and Volume affect only the overdrive section, while Gain affects only the clean boost section. Drive controls basic overdrive level, varying from a mild, controlled tone all the way to a more conventional distortion sound. Warmth control acts as low-pass filter couple with a gain boost as the cut-off frequency drops, which is highly unconventional and yields some really interesting overdriven guitar tones. Moving the knob clockwise moves the filter cutoff point lower, darkening the signal and increasing gain at the same time, and generally increasing even-order harmonic overtones. Volume increases the overall output level of the JDR-3 overdrive section. Gain sets the output level of the clean / treble boost section. It can be used to overdrive the overdrive section even further, or on its own. Gain ranges from -6dB to 13dB gain in the fully clockwise position. The Diamond Pedals J-Drive MK3 has also sports three switches - a True Bypass Drive switch with red LED indicating whether it is off/on, and a True Bypass Boost switch indicating off / on status with a green LED, and a BRT switch to add a touch of brightness for brightening up humbuckers or adding a touch of extra bite.

The Diamond Memory Lane 2 expands on the innovations of the original Memory Lane offering several new features requested by players and a new twist that further bridges the feature gap between analog and digital delays while retaining the warmth and unique sound of bucket brigade delay devices in an all analog signal path. With Diamond Memory Lane 2 analog delay pedal players now have the ability to control delay time via an expression pedal input, footswitch between two independent delay times: one set via the Delay knob, the other set using the tap tempo footswitch function. In addition, we've added a dotted 8th note setting for producing 'U2 style' rhythmic delays.

By utilizing the same variable sample rate concept used in analog bucket brigade modulation, and adding custom analog anti-aliasing and reconstruction filters and companding, we've captured the ethereal essence of the Memory Lane ... in a much smaller footprint, with over twice the delay time, an extended frequency response, and standard 9V powering. The the MLJr digital sampling engine's sole function is to copy, delay and reproduce the delay path signal with no mathematical manipulation at all - and unlike standard digital designs, there are no digital anti-aliasing and reconstruction filters. All signal paths around the sampling engine (direct path, feedback path and everything before and afterthe digital sampler) are analog paths carefully designed to provide a unique sonic signature that is unmistakably the Memory Lane Jr.

The Marquis Treble Boost pedal by Diamond Guitar Pedals offers excellent tone, quality and versatility. As described by Diamond pedals, the term Treble Booster is something of a misnomer. Some might say if the goal of this pedal is simply to increase the treble or mid frequencies of your guitar signal, why not simply do it on the EQ of your amp? In reality however the Diamond Marquis Treble Boost does much more than just this. The Diamond Marquis Treble Boost pedal does somewhat reduce low end frequencies while increasing upper midranges. However in addition to this, the Diamond Marquis Treble Boost adds a certain amount of grit or overdrive to your tone. By running what is known as this "hot" signal through your amp you are able to get a tone quite different than from just adjusting the amp's EQ. Built with a genuine Germanium transistor, the Diamond Marquis Treble Boost is based on Diamond's limited run J-Drive TR, which was based upon vintage treble boost effect pedal circuits. Now combined into the Diamond Marquis Treble Boost, this pedal is reminiscent of the tones of the '60s and '70s with their signature overdrive and sustain. The Diamond Marquis Treble Boost pedal features an On/Off bypass foot switch, as well as a Gain control knob. This knob allows you to control the amount of boost output generated by the pedal. In addition, the Diamond Marquis Treble Boost features a mode switch to alternate between the Germanium and Hybrid modes. Germanium mode works best when being added to an already overdriven signal for added sustain. In Hybrid mode all frequencies are boosted evenly, though there is less output than in Germanium mode and less added grit to the tone. This setting is more fitting for being added to a relatively clean signal. The Diamond Marquis Treble Boost offers two versatile modes to add everything from a little boost, to excellent grit and sustain to your tone.
