This past weekend, I had a gig in upstate NY with my band The BlackTails, and as it goes sometimes with old tube amps my Silverface Princeton Reverb crapped out the night before the gig at rehearsal. I was pretty bummed as my sound is pretty dialed in at this point. My usual rig is a Les Paul Standard, with a TS-9 tube screamer, RC Clean Boost, Boss Digital Delay (really do have to get around to buying an analog delay) through my Princeton Reverb. I pretty much keep the Les Paul in the middle position all the time and adjust my treble and bass tone knobs accordingly. (more...)

Man, the Fulltone Tube Tape Echo is a great sounding unit for that classic tape echo sound. The price is a bit steep for the uncommitted but if you are looking for that classic Setzer, Gallup, Burton sound this is a great way to go. This demo will give you a good idea of the classic vintage sound this thing puts out. (more...)
