Looking for one of the top Cusack pedals for your guitar? Then you’ll want to check out the Cusack Screamer Fuzz V2. The V2 part of the name is because this is the second, updated model of the Cusack Screamer Fuzz, and it includes everything that the first version had plus more. It adds a very unique, different kind of fuzz to your tone, but unlike the first model, it doesn’t feature a tone knob. Still, you can get all the fuzz the first Screamer produced—turn down the fuzz, and you’ve got a screamer with a nice middle tone. Turn the screamer way down, and you’ve got a full fuzz pedal. Mix the two, and this pedal will create some incredible sound combinations. This is one pedal that’s great to experiment with because you never know what tone or sound you’ll get.
The Cusack Screamer Fuzz v2 has several very interesting additions to it. First of all, you’ll find a toggle on the pedal. This is the clip selector. It has three different positions. You can either set it to give you standard clipping, crushed clipping, or asymmetrical LED clipping. You’ll also find an interesting LED meter on the pedal. This LED allows you to actually see a visual representation of your guitar clipping. If you use the Cusack Screamer Fuzz with a different pedal, you could use this LED as a strobe tuner. You can actually use it just as you would a tuner—when it stops blinking, you’re in tune.
This pedal includes all of the great tone of the Cusack Screamer (minus the actual "Tone" knob) and adds a very unique kind of Fuzz. With the fuzz all the way down, it's like a screamer with the tone at noon. With the screamer all the way down, it's a gnarly fuzz pedal. You can get a really cool combination of sounds by mixing various amounts of each. "Hey, what's that toggle for?"
Well, that's the Clip Selector, which allows you to select either the Standard, Crushed, or Asymmetrical LED clipping on the "Scream" half of the pedal!
"Why is there an LED above the NEW Clip Selector?"
That's the all new LED Clip-O-Meter! That's right boys and girls, you can now SEE your guitar clipping! What's more, if you drive it hard with another pedal, you can use it as a "strobe tuner". Just hit your 5th fret, and the next open, just as you would tune by ear. When the Clip-O-Meter stops blinking, you are in tune!
