Here's a little content that's any self respecting surf / twangmaster can't let slip by! Fender is giving away an autographed 50th Anniversary special edition Jazzmaster. Winners will be selected via a random drawing held on January 27, 2009.
The 50th Anniversary Fender Jazzmaster Guitar is modeled after a 1958 prototype Jazzmaster, which had several different features than the production model released that year. Some of these include two-color finish, black pickup covers and an ash body. This is certainly not like any of the other Jazzmasters being sold today.
These 50th anniversary models were just part of a limited run built solely for the celebration this past September at New York's knitting factory. At the event guitars were signed by a number of great Jazzmaster players such as, Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore and Lee Ranaldo, Dinosaur Jr. leader J Mascis, Wilco guitarist Nels Cline and Television guitarists Tom Verlaine and Jimmy Ripp.
The giveaway is on until January 26, 2009 so get in the game while you can!
